Will the Green Deal be delayed.
There is so much uncertainty in the business about Green Deal. The idea is that homeowners could borrow money for efficiency improvements with the payback being met by the savings on the fuel bills. However, so many elements are in disarray, as the Govt seem not to have thought the process out.
Two weeks to go until the EPC gets the biggest changes since its introduction.
Apart from some minor tweaks with the calculations, little has changed with the EPC since it was introduced. However, all that will change in a couple of weeks and that will have a major impact on everyone in the business. The presentation will affect agents, and Green Deal has been factored in too.

NHER give Nationwide Energy Surveys frank and honest advice about Green Deal training.
In response to questions from us, NHER have advised that no-one should pay for any Green Deal training yet as nothing about it has been confirmed. They then went on to say that even when the training has been developed, assessors should ask themselves where their income will come from!
Solar PV industry is in disarray, with many leaving the industry, due to FIT reductions.
Several suppliers have said they are leaving the PV industry, due to funding cuts that will result in job losses, more CO2 emissions, and higher profits for the utility suppliers who pay the FIT payments. This was seen as a political move by the Govt as they want to boost the new Green Deal scheme.
